🎄 Christmas in Isla Cristina: Magic by the Sea

Very close to Islantilla, Isla Cristina offers a unique Christmas atmosphere shaped by its maritime heritage and cultural life.

✨ Music performances and street parades

Music takes centre stage with choirs, street shows and cultural events throughout town—especially the Zambombas, celebrated all through December.

🎅 Children’s activities and workshops

The first weekend of December is packed with activities, starting with the Christmas lights switch-on alongside Princess Cinderella, followed by a snowfall in Plaza de las Flores and the opening of the Christmas Park at El Carmen Fairground.

On Saturday, 6 December, festivities begin at 1:00 pm with a Flamenco Zambomba, followed by the lighting of the large Christmas tree in Punta del Caimán—with traditional sweets tasting included.

Throughout the month, children can enjoy activities such as face painting (16–17 December), parades and the Batman Show Theatre (19 December), as well as Christmas concerts, dance performances and festive character parades on 22 December.

From 2 January onwards, all activities focus on welcoming the Three Kings, including hot chocolate, children’s entertainment, letter delivery and the magical Three Kings Parade.

🎁 Christmas market

A wonderful opportunity to support local businesses and buy traditional products in a charming festive setting.

  • Tuesday, 9 December: Launch of the campaign “Shop in Isla Cristina and Win Magic” with a draw for two trips.

  • Wednesday, 10 December: Charity postcard sale from 6:00 pm at Plaza de la Paz’s Music Kiosk.
